Achieving a 100% Juror Show Rate Across Four Research Projects

Updated: Oct 1

100% respondent show rate

Recently, Vulcan Litigation Services partnered with a trial consulting team on four back-to-back, in-person legal research projects, providing recruiting, logistics, and technology support. Each project required 12-15 participants, but executing four studies in succession required more than successful recruitment. With multiple moving pieces and tight timelines, we supported the trial consultants by handling all operational details so they could remain focused on the research itself.

How We Delivered

Here’s how Vulcan Litigation Services supported the logistical and technical success of these consecutive projects.

Venue Coordination and Planning

Before the jury research began, our project managers worked closely with the consultants to find a venue that suited the group’s size and was conveniently located to reduce participant travel time. Our client noted at the end of the research that the planning conducted before these projects helped establish a strong foundation for successful research execution.

Juror Recruitment and Attendance Management

We managed recruitment, scheduling, confirmations, and participant communications across the four projects. The result was exceptional attendance: all 56 recruited jurors arrived and participated as scheduled, giving the consulting team a full panel for every session. Following the projects, our client shared this feedback: "The recruit was amazing. 100% show rate over four separate projects."

Project Management and Day-of Support

During the research sessions, we provided project management support to ensure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our goal at Vulcan Litigation Services is to serve as an extension of the trial consulting team, seamlessly handling project execution so consultants and their clients can focus on strategy, presentation, and feedback.

Technology and Real-Time Data Collection

In these four projects, Vulcan's technology platform (Vulcan Interactive) and support services provided the client with immediate access to participant responses and notes throughout the projects. The consulting team was able to monitor juror feedback in real time, helping them identify emerging themes as the research unfolded.

Why It Matters

Running multiple jury research projects back-to-back can create numerous opportunities for disruption, from recruiting shortfalls and participant no-shows to venue and technology challenges. Any one of these issues can affect the quality of the research and the client experience.

By serving as a single operational partner across recruitment, logistics, project management, and technology, Vulcan Litigation Services helped the trial consulting team execute four consecutive studies with 100% participant attendance and seamless operations, enabling the consultants to maximize the value of each research session, maintain momentum across the studies, and produce reliable results.
